2010 Area Wide Gospel Tent Outreach
These are difficult days for many people. Marriages and families are struggling and breaking apart because many have ignored God's will for so long and lived for themselves. The consequences of rejecting God can be seen in every area of our culture. It has caused us to be a people that worship our bodies, follow our feelings, and love our possessions. Instead of bringing freedom, sin ultimately destroys relationships and robs a person of the joy of living. When our broken relationship with God is healed, it enables our relationships with each other to be restored and healed as well. The grace and love of God is the only thing that can change the heart of a man and make it new.
Our culture devotes excessive amounts of time and energy to the goal of earning money and finding material happiness... with very little time at all spent thinking about eternal things. When is the last time you seriously considered the condition of your soul? Is it right with God? The very purpose of your life is to know the One who formed you in the womb and created you.
The word "revive" means to quicken, to restore, and bring back to life again. This is exactly what salvation does in the life of a man, it restores and redeems the whole man. The gospel of Jesus Christ is an invitation to be forgiven of the sin that has separated you from God. It is the good news of God's love for a world that is suffering under the consequences of its own choices.
Living for Jesus is the most important decision that you will ever make. It's a decision to receive the grace of God and begin living by faith. The grace of God begins to restore a man's life from the very moment he humbles himself and repents of his sin.
This is not an event that promotes men or organizations, but the goodness and love of Jesus Christ. Men and organizations have been lifted up far too long at the cost of God's power and presence. The focus of the true gospel is the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ who conquered sin and death once and for all on our behalf, enabling us to be reconciled back to God.
Come hear the promises of God from the bible concerning salvation, spoken in simple terms. Come as the gospel is preached and lives are changed. All are welcome.
Signing for the deaf will be avilable Saturday Night June 19.
